Hi. This is Jeremy Turner. Over the past two years, I've received quite a few emails intended for this guy. His GMail address is one letter off from mine. When this first started happening I just deleted the messages, but as it continued I sometimes would reply and let the sender know that I was not, in fact, the Jeremy Turner they thought I was. Surprisingly nobody ever responded. The emails sent to this other Jeremy Turner all have a common thread. They are sent from UC Davis or related domains, revolve around the the subject of UC Davis, "Aggies" alumni events, the fraternity Alpha Gamma Rho, or any combination of these criteria.

Hopefully some of these have real nasty security holes that will be exploited as soon as I announce that they are installed. Oh well, here goes: All in [...]

Amazing what you find out when you pay attention. I would like [...]

Hi there. This is Jeremy Turner and I Just found this article on SEOBook.com, linked from this article on SearchEngineJournal.com. Last week, a number of webmasters with .info domains posted to the webmasterworld.com forums stating that their domains had dissapeared from The Google. The article suggests that rather than this being just a “glitch,” Google [...]

Hi. This is Jeremy Turner, and here’s some links to articles I’ve been reading while watching the game. Today’s topic du jour is “Link sculpting.” First I read about “PageRank sculpting” here, here, and here. Then I went back and read that first link. Link sculpting is an interesting concept of using the “nofollow” tag [...]

Hi. This is Jeremy Turner, and my first week giddiness fades to bitter consternation as I find myself dropping to the twenty-third result on Google. However things are looking up at Yahoo where I am now the second and third result. Funny thing is, the third result shows the page title and description for my [...]

Jeremy Turner, Abstract Artist, Uses The Internets as His Canvas

June 2, 2008

Comments

Update: Holy crap! Jeremy Turner-Abstract Artist has updated his site! No more broken links. I sincerely hope he heard about my efforts to defame him and responded accordingly, but I doubt it. Unfortunately the quality of the artwork now being displayed has seriously degraded the quality of the website. My vote is to bring back the broken [...]

Hi. This is Jeremy Turner and so far so good. looks like there may not be nearly as much competition as I thought. Not quite sure how to feel about that right now. Less than a week into this experiment I went from basically zero web presence —the 139th Google result for the query “Jeremy [...]
