Jeremy Turner, Abstract Artist, Uses The Internets as His Canvas

Nice

Update:
Holy crap! Jeremy Turner-Abstract Artist has updated his site! No more broken links. I sincerely hope he heard about my efforts to defame him and responded accordingly, but I doubt it. Unfortunately the quality of the artwork now being displayed has seriously degraded the quality of the website. My vote is to bring back the broken links. What follows is my original article on the subject of his website and SERP ranking.

Just to be clear, that’s not a broken link you see before you. It is a screenshot from the home page of Jeremy Turner, Abstract Artist. Doesn’t so much strike me as abstract, more of a comment on art in the age of The Internets. Or laziness. I shouldn’t joke though, maybe the guy died or something. Seriously though, shouldn’t The Google realize that all the image links on this site are broken (seriously, check it out for yourselves) and lower its standings in the SERP? Or delete it entirely. Regardless it should be way lower in the results regardless of who links to it. I can’t figure out what one could find useful on this site.

Last week he was the number three result on The Google, but as of this posting he is number eight.

Oh good, “Jeremy’s work is also promoted via TheArtCollectionOnline I’ll spare you the work and let you know that that is also a dead link. C’mon! Is this a comment of the sad state of JT’s on the internet? What gives? Is this my fate?

This is my first post in a series about the “other” Jeremy Turners out there on The Internets. There are 287,00 results for jeremy turner on The Google, I am but one. I’ll let you know what the others are doing

EDIT: Just looked at this on the homepage, and man does that image muck up the layout. Oh well, proving a point. To myself. Writing all alone in the cloud…

EDIT 2: How appropriate. While testing out a great new plugin, Broken Link Checker, I discovered that the link to TheArtCollectionOnline is now broken. Awesome.

EDIT 3: All Links to http://www.chorltonjel.com/ (Jeremy Turner, Abstract Artist’s home page) are broken now. The page no longer loads. And we had such great hopes for you Jeremy…
