Hi. This is Jeremy Turner and so far so good. looks like there may not be nearly as much competition as I thought. Not quite sure how to feel about that right now. Less than a week into this experiment I went from basically zero web presence —the 139th Google result for the query “Jeremy Turner”—to number fifteen (and sixteen!) I am also now the number two result for jeremy turner blog, splitting results for different blogs by Jeremy Owen Turner. Really? All I had to do was show up to the party? Is there any hope up climbing the ranks or is this it? Actually I had a feeling that something like this might happen but don’t you worry! I’ve got a bunch of other posts lined up, including comments and critiques on the other JTs out there, as well as some off-topic (and possibly more interesting) stuff.
Don’t know why I never checked this before, but I’m actually the number two result on Yahoo, albeit with a description from my ill-fated iWeb website experiment.
And here’s something strange. I’m the 32nd result on MSN, but on a site I’ve never signed up for. Anybody heard of center.spoke.com? It seems to be a second rate competitor to LinkedIn, but the weird thing is that all the bio info they have on me is pulled directly from my companies old website. Weird. I’ll have to do some investigating on that tomorrow, but tonight I celebrate!
